The production by Roland Schwab will star Stephen Gould and Catherine Foster in the title roles as well as Georg Zeppenfeld, Markus Eiche, and Ekaterina Gubanova. Performance Dates: July 25 & August 12, 2022 The festival will present “Das Rheingold” with Pietari Inkinen conducting and Valentin Schwarz directing. John Lundgren stars alongside Raimund Nolte, Attilio Glaser, Daniel Kirch, Christa Mayer, Elisabeth Teige, Okka von der Damerau, Olafur Sigurdarson, Arnold Bezuyen, Jens-Erik Aasbø, Wilhelm Schwinghammer, Lea-ann Dunbar, Stephanie Houtzeel, and Simone Schröder. Performance Dates: July 31-August 25, 2022 Pietari Inkinen conducts Valentin Schwarz’s “Die Walküre,” which is set to star Klaus Florian Vogt, Georg Zeppenfeld, John Lundgren, Lise Davidsen, Iréne Theorin, and Christa Mayer. Performance Dates: August 1-26, 2022 Pietari Inkinen conducts “Siegfried” in Valentin Schwarz’s production. Andreas Schager takes on the title role with Arnold Bezuyen, John Lundgren, Olafur Sigurdarson, Wilhelm Schwinghammer, Okka von der Damerau, Daniela Köhler, Alexandra Steiner, and Albert Dohmen. Performance Dates: August 3-28, 2022 Christian Thielemann conducts Yuval Sharon’s “Lohengrin” with Georg Zeppenfeld, Klaus Florian Vogt, Camilla Nylund, Martin Gantner, and Petra Lang. Performance Dates: August 4-22, 2022 Pietari Inkinen conducts Valentin Schwarz’s production of “Götterdämmerung.” The production will star Stephen Gould, Michael Kupfer-Radecky, Olafur Sigurdarson, Albert Dohmen, Iréne Theorin, Elisabeth Teige, Christa Mayer, Okka von der Damerau, Simone Schröder, Kelly God, Lea-ann Dunbar, Stephanie Houtzeel, and Simone Schröder. Performance Dates: August 5-30, 2022 Oksana Lyniv conducts “Der Fliegende Holländer” in a production by Dmitri Tcherniakov. The production stars Georg Zeppenfeld, Elisabeth Teige, Eric Cutler, Attilio Glaser, and Tomasz Konieczny. Performance Dates: August 6-27, 2022 Axel Kober conducts “Tannhauser” in a production by Tobias Kratzer.
